It has been my honor to represent the 26th District these past years. After much consideration, I am endorsing Tamara Davis Brown to replace me in the Maryland State Senate.
For well over a decade, I have watched Tamara grow into a committed community activist and advocate. I have seen her speak truth to power and influence legislation that improves our quality of life as Prince Georgians. I have also seen her educate and inform many of us in District 26 on many important issues. She is knowledgeable and speaks in layman’s terms on proposed legislation, fostering a deeper understanding of how it impacts our community.
Tamara has been a leader in education. She has served as a Board Member on the Parent Teacher and Student Association (PTSA) and mentor for the Student Government Association of Oxon Hill High School and John Hanson Montessori.
Tamara is an advocate for public safety. As a member of the District IV Police Citizens’ Advisory Council, she worked with neighbors to get a Southern Tier patrol to reduce police response times and keep our communities safe. Her continued advocacy resulted in the construction and staffing of the new Police District VII Station so that police staffing resources could be directed to areas that need them the most.
